Who Are Jim Beamish & Kendra Brown? We are a successful husband and wife area Real Estate team, affiliated with William Ravies Real Estate and Home Services, one of Connecticut's top Realty firms. We ourselves are selling homes at the rate of $10 million per year and sold approximately 40 homes over the past 12 months. We have a strong team working with us, including a full-time Office Assistant and two Buyer's Agents/Listing Coordinators. We offer sellers an outstanding marketing plan that has enabled us to sell homes quickly and for top dollar (in 2004 and 2005, more than half of our listings sold for list price or higher). Among our marketing techniques are Talking House, extensive use of Virtual/Visual Tours and a walk-through home inspection for seller clients (all these services are included in the commission). The time and effort we offer buyers has resulted in an equal number of buyer representation sales and a large group of very satisfied clients who call us and refer friends and relatives with ongoing real estate needs. Biographical Information: Jim is a former Industry Chief Executive Officer with over 20 years of Sales and Marketing experience. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant. Kendra is a former Health Care Industry Executive and has a Master's Degrees in Health Care Administration (MBA) and a Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate. | | | | Jim enjoys his activities as a sports official. He heads a football crew in the fall, and umpires baseball in the spring.
Jim is a State Certified Football and Baseball Official in both Connecticut and New Jersey. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a retired U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliarist. | | | | The 2nd Company Governors Footguard Band is a familiar Connecticut sight. Jim plays bass drum, and Kendra, the fife.
Both Jim and Kendra are active in local civic and community affairs, including community theatre. They both spent many happy hoiurs playing with the Field Music division of the 2nd Company, Governor's Footguard Band (Kendra is a fife player and Jim is a bass drummer). | | | | Kendra and Jim relax after a parade with Long Island Sound in the Background.

For Sale By Owner >Selling Tools
After a month of trying to sell your home "By Owner" you may decide to list it with a real estate agent. If you are in this position, you may begin to notice that your agent doesn't market the home the same way you did. You ran classified ads every weekend, but your agent has only advertised twice all month. Even so, there is a lot more interest and activity than you were able to generate on your own.
When your home is being marketed professionally, your real estate agent has many powerful selling tools that make it worth hiring someone who is experienced and competent. Some advantages to hiring an agent are the national and worldwide referral networks, the Multiple Listing Service, and the Internet. We advertise extensively in almost every media available including TV, which may bring in a call from the people who will buy your home. We work cooperatively with other brokers and share information about listings. Communication is the key to a real estates success. Agents use all of these tools to market their listings aggressively to get sales action!
